Where can I get tickets?

Tickets start from £20.00 for adults and £12.00 for concessions (children under 16, students and over 60s). Müller Anniversary Games tickets are still available from ticketmaster.co.uk/britishathletics.

Exclusive hospitality packages are available from £295.00.

Who will I see?

A host of the world’s best athletes, including the very best of Britain. Mo Farah will be a headline attraction as the four-time Olympic-gold medallist competes for the final time at the Anniversary Games. It will be an important tune-up as he prepares to defend his 5000m and 10,000m world titles just weeks later, after which he will retire from the track to transition to the roads.

The world’s fastest women will compete over 100m. Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson, the 100m and 200m Olympic champion, will face world-200m-champion Dafne Schippers – though there will be a strong British interest with Dina Asher-Smith and Asha Philip looking to upset the odds.

Men’s 110m hurdles world record holder Aries Merritt takes on Olympic silver medallist Orlando Ortega and Britain’s Andy Pozzi, who has emerged from years of injury to become a medal contender for the World Championships.

The women’s 100m hurdles sees Kendra Harrison, the world record holder, take on 2012 Olympic champion Sally Pearson and British trio Tiffany Porter, Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Cindy Ofili.

From sprints to distance races, long jump to pole vault, dozens of sport’s biggest stars will be in attendance, with further names to be announced in the coming weeks.

Will there be any record attempts?

Yes. Laura Muir will chase Zola Budd’s 32-year-old British mile record of 4min 17.57sec. At last year’s Anniversary Games, Muir broke the British 1,500m record, running 3min 57.49sec, and she has been in flying form so far in 2017, taking double gold at the European Indoor Championships.

“I’m in the form of my life and I want to make the most of it,” said Muir. “The mile is such an iconic event and to become British record holder would be massive.”

Kendra Harrison surprised everyone at last year’s Anniversary Games, breaking Yordanka Donkova’s 28-year-old 100m hurdles world record by running 12.20sec, and the American wants a repeat performance in July. “Hopefully I can do something special again,” she said. “It’s like the world championships in one day so it’s even more important for me to be there this year.”

Why is the meeting so important this year?

It will be staged less than four weeks before the IAAF World Championships, so it is a chance for Britain’s best to get one over on their international rivals shortly before one of the biggest sporting events of the year. British Athletics is encouraging fans to turn out in red, white and blue to show their support.
