There’s been a new development in the Alan Barnes scandal that has rocked the nation.
In case you missed it, Katie Cutler – the woman who raised £330,000 for disabled mugging victim Alan Barnes – revealed she was £6,687 in debt to a PR firm she hired for the cause.
Barnes pledged to give her £10 towards her repayments – a donation criticised by some for being a bit on the small side.
Well now Claire Barber, the CEO of the PR firm Katie apparently hired, has claimed that she wasn’t hired to help with Katie’s charitable work after all.
The company was, she alleges, hired for £550-a-day to try and get Cutler on shows like Celebrity Big Brother.
